First interview was via Skype with Department Chair and several teachers in the room. Questions were general -style of teaching, favorite types of lesson, etc. They wanted a video of me teaching, but I didn't have one and school was already out. Their school was not out, so I came in for an in-person interview. First I taught a sample lesson (on the second to the last day of school) - then they critiqued it and I had a second interview with the Dept. Chair and assistant principal. It was sort of a good-cop/bad-cop situation (which remained that way throughout my employment there.) Final interview was more of a formality-- Department Chair presented me to the principal. Then final-final interview, also a bit of a formality but surprisingly intensive was with head of HR and the Superintendent. The note that sticks with me-- they were quite aggressive and kept calling me to be sure I would come to the teaching interview even though I had said I would. They seemed worried someone else would hire me first.
