Very ambiguous phone screen - I was asked why I wanted to work there and why I applied for the job, but when I asked for more information on the position - she said it would be covered in the next interview. She also was a tad bit dramatic saying “We are only selecting 3 people to interview for this position and you are one of them! Congratulations!”
I asked for a general pay range but was not given one and was told it would again be covered in my next interview. No legit company only limits themselves to interviewing 3 people. No legit position lacks a pay range.
After the phone call I came to research the company on Glassdoor and saw some mixed reviews. I decided to pursue the interview regardless.
1. VERY unprofessional for a company to interview multiple candidates via ZOOM without notifying the candidates there will be multiple candidates in the interview.
2. When I asked about pay AGAIN I was responded with “I don’t feel that is an important detail of the job but....”
3. The explanation was essentially a MLM pay scale - Even for a management role. Knocking on doors doing sales.
I feel the job posting was very misleading. I excused myself from the process mid interview. I’m sure it is a great fit for some, but not a fan of the misleading job postings.
