Older, mid-career adults should be very wary of applying for this role. During my third, on-site interview, it was pointed out by the interviewing manager that there are only a handful of people over the age of 40 working there. I was struck by the inappropriateness of such a statement, as I happen to fall into this category. Lo and behold, despite giving an excellent interview and my considerable experience and qualifications I was not offered the job. Throwing caution to the wind, I re-applied months later and was immediately told that I was being moved to the final interview stage and to stay tuned... only to be completely "ghosted" and receive another canned letter of rejection four weeks later.
Ageism and very poor hiring practices. This job has been posted at least three times over the last year, and it's plain to see that it's little more more than a treadmill for younger employees and will continue to come available again and again in the months ahead.
