Norfolk County Council interview questions

I had a 30 minute panel interview with 2 members of staff who were both warm and approachable, but did not seem to be particularly familiar with my application or CV beforehand as they asked me questions about skills which I had not added to my CV nor were added in the brief person spec for the role. I had the impression that my interview may have been a formality with an internal candidate already marked out for the role. Finally, my interviewers ran late which is never a good first impression but this was due to issues with the lifts and it's a large site - they were very apologetic and the interview still managed to wrap up on time.

Interview started with questions relating to your personal upbringing. Then progressed to safeguarding and scenario/experience questions, Interviewers were kind but I got the feeling as soon as I entered that they had already chosen their candidate and I was being interviewed purely because they had too.
