      People Operations Coordinator Interview

      Feb 20, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Nory (Ireland) (Dublin, Dublin) in Feb 2026

      Interview

These people completely wasted my time and I feel compelled to relay my experience. I was contacted out of the blue through LinkedIn by someone in their People relations department, who told me my experience made me an excellent candidate for this position. We schedule a screening interview for a few days later. That went well and she then emailed me to say the second round of the interview process would involve a 40 minute presentation and it was scheduled for 12 days later. This gave me time to prepare, and I spent about 4 hours over the next week writing up a presentation based on the situational prompts I had been given. Then 3 days before the interview, she sends me an email saying that I am no longer being considered because other candidates they had interviewed had more experience than I did. This was extremely frustrating, as I had wasted my time (which is limited, as I have a newborn baby and a master's degree keeping me occupied), preparing for an interview that was canceled. Furthermore, it was apparently cancelled based on my not having enough experience, despite the fact the company had contacted me, unprompted, based on my experience. I wouldn't have complained if they simply didn't offer me the job, that's perfectly reasonable. I wouldn't even have complained if the interview they cancelled was a standard interview without necessary prep. But the fact that they gave me over a week to prepare a 40 minute presentation, only to then cancel the interview a few days beforehand, was really out of line, and ironically an example of terrible people operations. If they realised they had other candidates with more experience than me, it still behoves them to follow through with my interview they asked me to prepare for. Even if they were leaning towards more experienced candidates, they should have given me a chance and not so blatantly wasted my time. Hopefully whoever they do hire into this position prevents poor practices like this from happening again.
