Highly Disorganized Interview Process Ended in Sudden Cancellation
Pros: The interviewers were professional and technically competent during the evaluation stages
.Cons: Unstable recruitment pipeline, poor candidate communication, and a lack of respect for an applicant's time.
Advice to Management: Ensure headcount and budget approvals are completely finalized before moving candidates into extensive interview loops.
Full Review: I recently went through an multi-round interview process with Nubank for a senior role in Canada. The initial stages went well, and the team indicated they were highly interested, even discussing aligning me to an expanded scope and higher level than originally posted. However, once I reached the final stages with the hiring manager, the candidate experience degraded significantly. A final wrap-up call was repeatedly rescheduled at the last minute. Ultimately, the meeting was canceled entirely, and I received a generic email stating they were no longer hiring for the position. It is incredibly frustrating to invest significant time and effort into a comprehensive interview process, only to have the role eliminated right at the finish line due to shifting internal priorities. If you apply here, be aware that headcount stability seems to be an issue, and the scheduling process can be highly unpredictable.
