      Interview

This is a warning for anyone thinking about interviewing with Numerator, it is a COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME!! Phone screening with recruiter - pretty standard Teams call with the hiring manager for about 30 minutes. Mine went really well and an hour after I received an email that she really liked me and wanted me to do the case study. The case study is ridiculous. They send you two MASSIVE excel files, one of messy raw data, one with survey data, it's a lot. The case study itself isn't difficult solving a hypothetical business question/solution. I spent a LONG TIME on my presentation, and turned it in confidently. About two hours after turning it in, they scheduled a panel interview with four people for me to present and answer questions. I thought my presentation was very solid, and I thought all of my answers afterward were perfect. I walked away from the interview CONVINCED I was going to get an offer by the next week. INSTEAD the next day, the recruiter told me with no explanation they decided not to go with me. I literally thought I was being punked or read the email wrong, there was no way after that amazing interview and presentation, ALL THE TIME I SPENT on the case study, that I didn't get an offer? I would not waste my time with this company, I'm not even sure if they are actually hiring or need anyone - or if they are just bored and looking to waste peoples time who are on the job market. Please take it from me, do not....DO NOT waste your time on this case study.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

"how would you juggle a client ask and some internal work you had to do" "how did you get these numbers from the data"
      Answer question

      Interview

      1. online test of easy SAT-like math questions where you submit a recorded video of you taking the test + personality test 2. phone call with recruiter 3. phone call with manager 4. take home case study 5. case study presentation in front of team idk why small companies always have these too long and unnecessary steps. the math test should be gone, the case study is long as is

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Numerator (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2021

      Interview

First, I submitted the online application. I also knew someone who worked there and so I had an employee referral. I did an online assessment that took 30 mins to a hour, and then I was contacted for a phone screening with HR. After that, I was invited to complete a case study. The case study was very open ended and time consuming and I was only given 1 week to complete it. Once I did, I heard nothing back for several days until I reached out. After that, I was given some suggestions on how to improve my case study. I made the changes, was told it looked good, and I was invited to a final interview which was 1 hour long. I was told I'd get an answer within the next day but a week later I still hadn't heard. Again reached out and was told I was not chosen. Repeatedly during the interview process I had a difficult time with the HR employee who repeatedly scheduled interviews wrong (for example for my final interview she originally scheduled it for a day that had already passed which caused me some confusion) and also she called the wrong phone number on one occasion despite that I had confirmed with her the correct number to use. Overall I spent a long time doing sample work for them that I was not paid for so I was disappointed that I not only did not receive an offer but also that I am 100% sure they would have completely ghosted me after my final interview had I not reached out.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I can't remember. It was mostly about the case study as well as some typical questions like "what was a challenge you have overcome"
