Initial phone screening with the Director of HR. It was casual conversation peppered with general and pointed questions regarding the position. She was friendly, conversational and appeared more focused on making sure I was a good cultural fit as well as a good fit for the position. She scheduled an in-person interview with the her and the hiring manager as the next step. My in-person interview was very similar to the phone exchange. Both people were very friendly and conversational. They asked pointed questions regarding my background, expertise, skillset, comfort level, etc. They did not ask the standard questions that are difficult to answer and provide little value during the interview process like, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?", which I appreciated. They also asked questions to get a feel for my personality like my hobbies. It shows that they place a high value on hiring the right fit, not just the right skillset. My second interview was a call with a team member since she works remotely. Again, the meeting was very conversational and was really more of an opportunity for me to ask questions. My 4th and final interview was with the CEO. Again, very light and conversational. Overall, I did not feel stressed or pressured during this meeting as well as all previous interviews which was so nice.
