      Customer Success Manager (CSM) Interview

      Oct 15, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Odore

      Interview

My experience with Odore’s interview process was extremely disappointing and unprofessional, especially in the lead-up to the final stage with one of the co-founders. Over the course of four interviews, including one that required me to prepare a full case study, the process initially seemed thorough. However, the co-founder who was supposed to attend the case study presentation canceled at the last minute due to a “conflict.” What followed was a series of rescheduled final interviews, five times in total, often changed without confirming my availability, despite me providing clear time slots in advance. As someone currently working full time with a demanding client schedule, this lack of respect for my time was concerning. On one occasion, the co-founder even asked to move our meeting during the scheduled call, which I could not accommodate. After I sent follow-up times to reschedule the call he did not attend, I received no reply for several days until I followed up with the recruiter. When the final interview finally happened, I was told it was a wrap-up conversation to discuss next steps and potentially an offer presentation. Instead, it turned into another round of questioning. Had I known it was another interview, I would have prepared differently and was very blindsided by this call. I was told I would receive an update the following, but after two weeks of again, zero communication, I followed up with the recruiter separately. I was then informed by the recruiter that the company was not following through with an offer and he had expected them to provide me with an update the week prior when they shared this with him. This is a very simple courtesy and common etiquette to extend to potential candidates, especially after numerous interviews that you're not moving forward. This seems to be very reflective of how they operate as an organization and does not reflect the values most people seek in an employer. Overall, the experience reflected a lack of organization, communication, and basic professionalism. The repeated last-minute changes, lack of clarity, and disregard for candidates’ time were serious red flags. Even my first impression of Odore, which was their company website, had numerous grammatical and spelling errors - this was an early warning sign that I should not have ignored. Companies need to remember that candidates are also evaluating them during the hiring process. Professionalism, transparency, and respect for a candidate’s time directly reflect the company’s values and culture. I do not recommend engaging with Odore’s hiring process. I am grateful I trusted my instincts and accepted another offer elsewhere.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Odore (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2025

      Interview

Had one interview with one of the co founders based in the UK. The audio kept cutting off so I couldn’t hear him well. Didn’t make it to the next round and I asked for feedback on why but didn’t receive any.
