Probably one of the worst interview experiences I’ve ever had!
I attended the interview to be met by a man who advised me the whole process would take 3 hours long! This was not communicated to me before hand and was very inconvenient considering I was due back at work. I was then told the interview would have three parts, an interview with a team leader and member, followed by a recorded role play exercise that involved an actor playing a distressed tenant, followed by an additional interview with a panel of real tenants.
The first interview was as expected. However the role was unrealistic and ridiculous! Instead of having this based around a realistic situation, they employed an individual to enter the room shaking, staring at the floor and muttering about a loan shark being after them! Needless to say, I was very taken aback!
I was then ushered into a room in two tenants who proceeded to ask me questions, while the tenants were nice enough. This situation felt intrusive, with the potential to breach my privacy, not a sensible situation for job applicants to be put into.
I regretted attending this awful interview and will definitely steer clear of applying for roles with One Manchester. After taking so much of my time they simply sent me a generic “sorry you were unsuccessful” email. SMH
