      Fullstack Developer Interview

      Aug 27, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Montreal, QC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at OneSpan (Montreal, QC) in Jul 2025

      Interview

Unorganized company. Applied for a full-stack role. First interview was with RH (15 min), she then explained to me what to expect for the next interview which was the first technical interview that was scheduled for one hour, I needed to install IntelliJ (IDE) for a live coding session. When it was time to do the first technical interview, it only lasted 30 min max, and they never did any live coding with me. For the second technical interview, it would be done at their location, they also told me who was going to test me and that I would be tested on frontend and backend tech. When I went to their office for the interview, none of those things they described happened, none, I was only tested on the backend side and the people who conducted were not the persons that were supposed to conduct the interview, when asked about the interviewers, they told me one was sick and the other was not there. To add insult to injuries the interviewers had no clue that I was applying for a full-stack role, they decided to only test me on backend since that was their only expertise. At the end, I do not care if they want to go further with me, those red flags do not make me feel this is a company I want to work for. Very unorganized and unprofessional.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Multithreads, latest features with java, test, spring boot, annotations, benefits of spring boot, hashcode, and a coding challenge where I had to fix their testing issues.
