      Project Manager Interview

      Nov 22, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at OpenWeb

      Interview

The recruiter reached out to me. The initial conversation was nice and quick, also the conversation with the hiring manager and another director. Then the feedback was delayed by 5 weeks. I contact the recruiter which was apparently on PTO and told me to contact the hiring manager directly. The hiring manager apologized and asked me to be interviewed by another manager (5th interview). After two weeks contacted me, apologized again, and asked me to wait for another 3 weeks for a final result, and then nothing. Unprofessional and highly disrespectful.

      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at OpenWeb (New York, NY) in May 2024

      Interview

Multiple rounds, starting with recruiter phone screening. Then interviewed with others on the team and ultimately to hiring manager. Everyone was very friendly. No trick questions, just free-flowing conversations. The team was very honest about the role, expectations, and work environment.

      Product Manager Interview

      Tel Aviv-Yafo
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at OpenWeb (Tel Aviv-Yafo)

      Interview

A recuirter sent me a message on Linkedin, afterwards a short phone interview which was full of noise and didn’t give me the feeling of a serious process. Second interview was with the SVP, 30 minutes on Zoom. Didn’t feel like the interviewer was focused on the interview and I didn’t get the full chance of presenting myself and my experience. Third step was home assignment - took few hours - and then presentation (1 hour). They asked to record the meeting so they will be able to share it with other team memebers. After the presentation they disappeared for a week (previous legs were every few days), I was needed to contact them and the recruiter said they will have an update probably in a day. The next day they didn’t get in touch and after 3 days called in the evening said the are sorry and decided to move forward with another candidate - no specific feedback on the presentation or other specific feedback. The ‘ghosting’ issue felt so unserious. Overall it felt like a not professional process, most of the people I had the chance to talk with didn’t feel focused on the process or gave me a good feeling.
