      Java Software Engineer Interview

      Dec 22, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Optimax-Energy in Dec 2022

      Interview

This was such a waste of my time and energy. I submitted a full solution with code, test cases, documentation and the running instructions. I honestly spent a lot of time working on their coding assignment and was hoping for a good feedback. I didn't like the feedback they gave, because their problem statement was vague and their feedback shows they expected the code to be in a particular way without giving any info about it in the problem statement. Also, if someone has made the effort to give an elaborate solution, atleast give them some positive feedback. The code isn't completely garbage right? I am guessing the company has a toxic work culture, where they just criticize each other all the time.
