Interviewed with the companies co-founder. Interviewer was highly unprofessional and conducted the worst interview I've ever been on on both the phone and face-to-face interview. He would forget he asked a question and ask it again, one question over 3 times. At one point my response was along the lines "As I mentioned earlier and on the phone interview". After 3 interviews, 2 phone and 1 face-to-face he wanted to make another call to discuss a few questions he forgot to ask in the previous 3 interviews. The question most concerning was pay. This was surprisingly since I was working through a recruitment staffing company who was supposed to square away salary requirements before hand.
His attitude did a 160 after I mentioned my requirements. I was ultimately passed for the position. It appeared they did not want to pay the average front-end developer salary in San Francisco.
In the end his conduct was embarrassing. It was hard to see the interviewer as a company co-founder.
Despite the shortcomings the environment seemed very relaxed and possibly fun. They value time spent doing the things they loved (kayaking, climbing, hiking). I probably would have enjoyed myself. However I foresee them cutting a lot of corners.
