The process started rapidly. Within an hour of submitting my application, I received a text from the organization and scheduled a preliminary phone call for the next day. During that call, we scheduled a working interview at the location for the next week. The process of the interview itself was a bit awkward. The staff I talked with was lovely, but the process itself was lacking. On their side, it seemed to involve a set list of questions and then having to hand write all of my responses to each one. Normally I wouldn't have an issue with this but it meant that I kept having to stop mid-sentence and repeating myself so they could accurately write my responses. There were 15 questions in total, mostly about how I would respond to different scenarios. After that came the working part of the working interview, and I was put into one of the toddler rooms with the teachers assigned to that room and basically watched/played with the children for roughly 30-40 minutes. I believe one of the teachers in that room was given a sheet of paper after I left to write up how I did? I am not quite sure if any of the people I talked to or worked with during the in-person interview were actually involved in the hiring process, or if the papers they were recording on were just passed up the ladder. Do not expect to hear back from the company if you did not get hired. Despite being told nearly every step of the way that I was a promising candidate, they went 0 contact after the working interview. Even after reaching out to my point of contact, there was no response on the status of my application, and I figured I didn't get the job when I checked Indeed and saw they reposted the listing. The kids and staff seemed great, but that lack of courtesy from the corporate side of things is something to consider.
