I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PJT Partners (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2016
Interview
Interviewed for a FT role, went through 3 phone screens, all of varying nature. 1st phone screen was fit/basic technicals, 2nd was with a director who was extremely laid back and was mainly looking for cultural fit, 3rd round was where I was dinged I believe. Older associate who hemmed and hawed on each technical, going very in-depth in regards to the workings of LBOs in addition to building out statements by hand to calculate 2 year changes across the financial statements.
