Recruiter reached out to me with this role, and I confirmed from the start about my intended salary range. The initial recruiter call and all rounds of interviews (remote & in-person) went very well, and I received very positive feedback letting me know I was a candidate highly of interest by the team who interviewed me. I was so excited to join the team and start the role. The recruiter then re-confirmed the salary expectations and let me know that the team was actually looking for a range *below* what I was looking for (even though we had already established my expectations and aligned from the beginning). While the recruiter was very helpful and I assume tried to negotiate the salary on my behalf, I'm extremely disappointed with the recruitment and programmatic teams for not clarifying their inflexibility with the salary range from the jump and leading me to believe they were aligned when they truly weren't. Most importantly, I'm very disappointed with how unprofessional they were by ghosting me after all these rounds of interviews and expressing how much they wanted me for the team, instead of sending any sort of communication about the rejection. They just left me hanging there. This used to be my dream company to work for, but based on their unprofessional hiring processes, I will not be applying again here - a huge time waste, unfortunately!
