Recruiter (Holly) reached out to me on Linkedin about the role and had a short phone screen. She said I wasn't a great fit for that specific role, but she wanted to put my resume in for another role they had upcoming. All phases of the interview were conducted remotely via Zoom. A week or two later, I met with the CTO who asked me questions about my background and interests. A couple days later I had a very small panel interview with two members of the IT support team (I believe I'm going to be the first or second dev hire, so they didn't have anyone to interview me from that side). More of the same, asking about my experience and talking about my skills. A few days later, I had an offer. Best interview process I've had for a software engineering job. No bs whiteboarding or ridiculous data structures and algorithms questions that you'll never actually use on the job, just a couple conversations about my experience and interests. Holly is great and filters out people who aren't an experience/skill fit prior to interview, so there's nothing to prove. Go in, be authentic, and you'll do well.
