I spoke with a recruiter first, then had a video interview with a VP and an Executive Assistant. The VP was mainly focused on preserving their culture, which, based on his questions, appears to be largely based on drug and alcohol use.
After those questions, the VP assured me that there were lots and lots of candidates they were interviewing and that next steps would be an in-person interview, then lunch with everyone in the company. Because they want to get the right person. I mean, of course they do! Not every HR person will feel great about tolerating drug and alcohol use in the workplace. Takes a top person for that.
I consider this to be a bullet dodged. Good luck to whoever accepts this position.
