      Deckhand Interview

      Apr 28, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Parker Towing (New York, NY)

      Interview

After previously speaking to the hiring agent about scheduling an interview. I assumed I was contacted by a recruiter. I was given the impression that this position would be catered for individuals seeking a mere stepping stone. Not what I am looking for. They used the standard cookie cutter format for obtaining background/experience for the interviewee. A big red flag and discouraging point was. The interviewer seemed to possess no working knowledge of coast guard licensing requirements for inland. Expect a lot of double talk and side stepping.
