      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Pasadena Humane (Pasadena, CA) in Jan 2017

      Interview

The interview process went good. After sending in my resume I was asked to come in for a written test, which wasn't too hard. There were some math questions, logic questions and comprehension questions. I felt good about it when I left and I must've done well because then I got invited back for an interview. The interview went great. They mostly asked all the basic interview questions you'd expect to be asked in an interview. About a week after the interview I was asked to do I ride along with an animal control officer! That was great and I had a really awesome time leaving me even more excited about the possibility of the position. I was offered the job! Woohoo! After receiving the job offer communication with HR started to fall apart. The person originally handling my case left the organization (without letting me know or telling me who I could talk to) and when I finally found out that I was sending my documents and emails to no one I was put in touch with the director of HR. She seemed to care less about whether I actually started the job or not. My emails were ignored and on two occasions the director of Human Resources made phone appointments to talk to me and on both occasions she didn't call me or answer my calls. I was astounded at the unprofessionalism. From the head of the department no less. Still haven't heard back, so I'm cutting my losses. Good thing I didn't give my two weeks notice at my current job or I would be screwed. If you get a job offer here don't get your hopes up!
