      Senior Java Developer Interview

      May 14, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Paysend in May 2021

      Interview

The initial interview with the recruiter was nice and easy. On the other hand, the technical interview was much less pleasant. It was an interrogation, not an interview. The questions were mostly very unclear and broad. I was having hard times to understand them. You should definitely learn to ask questions in a more concise and clear manner. Also, asking tricky questions in order to determine the experience level of the candidate is totally stupid. They had almost no interest in my real experience and past projects. Finally, I think it was a good thing I didn't pass that interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      - Some very obscure question related to the use of a third-part library. - Another obscure question related to maps. Probably the question was simple, but their way of asking questions made it not so easy. - What is SOLID - etc
