This interview process felt as if the partner’s time was much more important than the applicants.
The first interview was a group interview with other applicants. I have done interviews like this for firms that typically have a high turnover rate, so it was somewhat of a red flag.
Interviews 2 through 4 were with upper management. Each interview was the same: “Tell me about yourself” and typical interview questions. One of the three had a couple technical valuation questions.
More than a month after the intitial contact, I received an offer. Management was not willing to negotiate or discuss the offer in any capacity. I specifically asked over email at least twice to discuss over the phone. Crickets.
I sat on the offer for two weeks wondering if they even knew they had sent an offer to me. I ultimately declined the offer when management finally inquired if I had made a decision.
