The job was on an online job board, and I emailed my cover letter and resume directly to the restaurant. I got a call 2 days later for one of the business partners, saying they needed someone immediately, and if I could come in for an interview that day. I said I could, and he told me the name of the person I would interview with. I dressed up and researched the restaurant beforehand, and I arrived 10-15 minutes early. The interview was at 2 in the afternoon on a weekday, and I noticed that the restaurant was busy. I asked for the man I would interview with, and they had me sit down at a table while they got him. This man was rude to me from the beginning. He came up and asked me if he had promised me a meeting. I said I had gotten a call earlier in the day to come in for an interview, and this man explained that it was is business partner that called, and he would go get the person that called me. I tried to keep a smile on my face while feeling awkward, watching him have a discussion about me, but nothing happened. I probably waited 10 minutes while everyone, including the business managers, did their own things. Eventually the man I was supposed to interview with sat with me at my table and asked for my cv, which I gave him. He asked if I had serving experience, which I did. He said that he didn't know who was coming and going, then complained that some servers don't know how to touch a glass. (??) He said he would give my cv to the owner (I thought he was the owner?) and call me to go through a test run as a server. This was over in maybe 2 minutes, and he had me leave. This was the most insulted I've ever been in a job interview.
