I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Photon (Bengaluru) in May 2026
Interview
I attended the walk-in interview for the Business Analyst role, and the entire process took a full day. The interviewer mentioned that candidates would be evaluated through Level 1, 2, and 3 rounds based on their performance. I successfully cleared all three rounds.
After completing the process, the HR team informed me that, based on project allocation, the HR discussion would happen within 2 days. However, I still haven’t received any update, while the same Business Analyst role has been posted again.
If a candidate is not being considered, it would be more professional to communicate the rejection clearly rather than giving false hope and leaving candidates without any response after investing an entire day in the interview process. Kindly try to maintain a transparent and proper recruitment process and value the time and effort of candidates.

Extremely Unprofessional and Disrespectful
I had a highly disappointing experience with Photon's interview process.
I was asked to report at 10:00 AM and ended up waiting until 1:00 PM without even being called. Eventually, a casual response was given stating that my profile was “on hold” after supposedly screening the resume—something that could have been done well in advance. This same treatment was given to at least 5–6 other candidates. No interview, no interaction, just sheer mismanagement.
To make matters worse, even a differently-abled candidate who had traveled all the way with his father was sent back without being interviewed. This shows a shocking lack of empathy and planning.
Is this level of disregard shown because there are no regulatory bodies overseeing such interview practices? The entire process felt like a cruel formality designed with no respect for people's time, effort, or dignity.
My advice: avoid wasting your time with companies that treat candidates so thoughtlessly. This was, by far, one of the worst recruitment experiences I’ve witnessed.

Interview
The interview process was smooth and quick to complete as the requirement was supposed to be closed earlier. In my case, they verbally confirmed for the ECTC then further negotiated. Although they release the offer very quickly once the ECTC is confirmed, and approved by their management after which they do have a clause to pay 10% amount of the Offered CTC in case the candidates decline to join after accepting the offer.
