I was contacted by an external recruiter about this position. After speaking on the phone with her for 20 minutes, she invited me to a phone screen with the hiring manager, who is a Senior Director with Comcast (which owns Plaxo).
The hiring manager interviewed me for 30 minutes about my background and my vision for the responsibilities of the position, focusing mostly on strategic thinking. She indicated she would invite me for an in-person round of interviews at Plaxo HQ in Mountain View.
In Mountain View, I met with five people over three hours. It was a little disorganized, as the recruiter did not send me an interview roster ahead of time, and people had traded times anyway. Additionally, there was no real point of contact there, so I had to figure out to whom to give my paperwork and where to go when I arrived.
I met with a broad range of partners for the position, including the VP Engineering, VP Marketing, VP Strategy, User Experience, and another Product Manager. Each interview focused on behavioral and case interview techniques, although it was clear that most of the interviewers had not read my resume before they met me. The interviews were generally challenging, but not the most grueling I'd done.
