      Junior Devops Engineer Interview

      Feb 20, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Portfolio Aid (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2020

      Interview

Don't consider this company if you're a new graduates! They showed no respect during this whole process and it was rude and unprofessional! They called my without any notice right after another phone interview I just had. So i'm a little off-guard of the situation. The interviewer is really condescending and rude. I'm a new Master graduates and she asked me some weried definitions I learned during my undergrad times in another country with another language. She made me very nervous so I tried my best to come up with my best answer in English. I stated that I just finished another phone interview and did not expect another (very rude and condescending) one. She told me that a on-site interview would be much much intimidating and worse (But I doubt that cause every on-site interview I had was nice and warm. ) and if I behave like this she won't waste her time and stuff. Throughout the interview, she asked some basic definition like: She asked me about Is hash a data structure? I thought hash is a function rather than a data structure so I answered no. She replyed with a big sign and said no it is one. I think she said hashing instead of hash but I just finished another interview regarding hash so I anwsered immediately without thinking. Her tone became more and more condescending as she talked about these. Whenever she cannot hear me clearly she'll just yell "What?" out loud. She really caught me off guard on this one so maybe if I was a little more relaxed before I take this call I would perform better and tell her not to be this condescending.
