The time that it took to hear back from the recruiter was quick, and the way you can book your own interview slot was convenient. However, the interview process is long and unorganized for no reason. The recruiter will ask the same questions as the “hiring manager” who is a Director. That also spoke a lot to staffing and organization for this particular role. The questions the hiring manager asked seemed redundant and all focused on my resume, which is long since I’ve been working in this field for 10 years.
I would recommend not wasting your time to interview here, it became clear towards the end that the interview was to gather information from you in your current role for their benefit, and that they were not going to move forward with you.
Also, if you are a woman of color, look elsewhere. There are none here, and while I have worked with numerous people and companies, this one clearly will not hire you for that reason.
They are also quite behind to be a tech company. There aren’t any workforce management tools and doesn’t seem to be a rhythm to everyday work for this role.
As a word of advice for the interviewers, you should change the interview decision not to say you’re looking for someone with “deeper technical experience”, as I am positive there is no one currently employed or qualified with greater technical expertise than me, and many others applying for this role. I am considered overqualified, but always willing to lend a helping hand.
