I had a brief phone interview with the recruiter, giving information about my current position, why I'm looking to leave and why I am interested in this position with Priority 1. She asked me to come in to meet face to face (I thought this meant a formal interview with her and maybe other members of the team). I took off of work to come to the interview... my interview was scheduled for 12:30..I wasn't seen until 1:00. And, the interview was just with the recruiter. She was very nice, but was more interested in discussing everything BUT the position. We talked about our hobbies, favorite places to eat, etc..I tried to tie everything BACK to the position in order to get back on track but she insisted on discussing random topics. We finally ended the interview with little to no information on next steps. I felt like I had completely wasted my time and took off of work for no reason. She called me a few hours later, telling me she "had fun" and that she'd like for me to now meet with the CEO and HR manager on a DIFFERENT date!! Meaning i'd have to take off of work again! So against my better judgement, I went to the second interview, thinking it would be very similar to the first. However it was totally opposite. It was extremely formal. It was a very quick interview and very boring.
I was so annoyed that I had wasted my time twice with them. I always thought recruiters were supposed to assist you as you are going through the interview process by giving you helpful information (such as what to expect, what they are looking for, etc.) but I didn't get any of that. It honestly just seemed like a joke.
