      Tax Senior Interview

      Dec 15, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Firma, MO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ProVision Wealth (Firma, MO) in Jun 2014

      Interview

I was recommended through a recruiter who assured me my qualifications were top notch. At interview I was kept waiting quite some time. During the interview, they kept looking around and yawning although I enthusiastically presented myself with variable tone and gestures. I've spoken publicly and consulted with other firms and have never had that done to me. Upon asking my questions, the managing partner took the opportunity to disparage all other CPAs and egotistically inflate himself. When asked about the founder Tom Wheelwright, he arrogantly stated Tom had nothing to do with the firm anymore, and that he "thinks he lives under a bridge over there." How hilarious (sarcasm), especially since Tom is well respected as part of Robert Kiyosaki's network of Rich Dad advisors. The managing partner Rob then ended the interview abruptly and ran out of the room without so much as a goodbye or thanks for my time. I guess only his time was important since he could come late and leave rudely in haste. I emailed a thank you and got no response. They didnt even have the courtesy to tell the recruiter, until much later and upon persistence, the status of the job offer. When I asked the recruiter for feedback, I was told there was none and that they wouldn't give any. As a respected professional in the community here, I really was hoping to add my credibility and expertise to a team of advisors I respect. Instead, I was left shocked at the attitude and unprofessionalism that has been allowed to be attached to ProVision's good name and Tom's credibility as a Rich Dad Advisor. If the culture there is anything like the tone at the (managing partner) top, then not getting an offer is just as well; my values of humility, integrity, and respect don't resonate with the culture I experienced in this interview.
