      Mechanical Project Engineer Interview

      Oct 2, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Loveland, OH
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Prodigy (Loveland, OH) in Aug 2019

      Interview

Interview was setup by HR no mention of a time limit. Interview was scheduled with two of the higher level engineers within the group. Interview started off well although it was mostly me providing my information and not as much of them telling about the role or their fit within the company. Final question to me was my reasoning for going back to school for an advanced degree for which I told them and that point they abruptly ended the interview with "we have another meeting to go to". It was very unprofessional. Later in the day I received the usual canned response auto-generated email from HR stating that they have moved on in their search. The person that they ended up hiring went to the same school as the interviewers so I feel like this was a "check-the-box" interview and they already had their minds made up before we started. Since then one of the interviewers has changed companies, the other is still there in the same role.
