      Interview

Salary Bait After Documents -Complete Waste of Time. I am writing this review to warn candidates about my recent experience with prosperr.io company. On 13th May 2026, I attended a virtual interview and cleared it on the same day. Post selection there was a salary discussion round with a senior HR (Same day) who confirmed a specific CTC and in-hand amount. I asked for the in-hand figure specifically and she confirmed it on the Google Meet call itself, I agreed to the offered package. I come from 6 years of experience in fintech and banking. Even though the package was on the lower side, I was willing to join because I genuinely wanted to be part of a fintech company. I accepted in good faith. On the same day, 13th May, I received a documentation email and shared all my documents immediately - including my payslips. 14th May — No offer letter. No update. 15th May — I followed up. HR confirmed I will receive the offer letter by end of day, "for sure." Still nothing. 16th May (today) — I followed up again in the morning. HR then gets on a call and informs me that management has decided to offer a lower CTC than what was confirmed during the interview. Lower than the agreed amount. They had my payslips. They knew my current salary. They made an offer. I accepted. I shared my documents. And then they came back with a lower number with a 10-15 minute ultimatum to accept or lose the offer. I declined they immediately said they won't move forward. Think about this — they already had all my documents. They already knew everything. This feels like a deliberate tactic to get candidates to commit and then push a lower salary hoping desperation will make them accept. If they behave this way before joining, imagine what happens after. Will salaries be paid on time? Will commitments be honoured? Based on this experience, I have serious doubts. My strong advice to every candidate: Once the salary discussion is done, do NOT share any documents until you receive a written email confirmation of the exact CTC and in-hand amount. Verbal confirmation on a call means nothing with this company. Protect yourself. I hope this review saves someone's time and energy.
