      Account Executive Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Publicstuff (New York, NY) in Jan 2015

      Interview

The initial meeting was in person. I walked into the office and was greeted with dead silence, one gentleman looked up and pointed to the couch. Five minutes later, the VP of sales came out and we sat down in a small room. Went immediately into questioning, very broad questions. He seems like a smart guy, but did not seem interested in the interview from the second we sat down. He spoke as if he were pressed for time. I was told of next steps, then left the silent office an hour later. Did not hear back from him. Overall, I like what the company is doing, but I am glad I did not get a call back. The office is modest, the culture looks bleak, and I'm not sure how they thrive working in that type of environment.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Several, very broad questions regarding: why I would want to work there, why am I leaving my old company, what am I looking to get out of this, and each one was followed up with a "what else".
