To say Pulley's interview process wheels fell off is an understatement. There seem to be some struggles going on behind the curtain. I was initially in contact with a recruiter between June and July for a engineering lead (product) role. Then I spoke with a an engineering leader who was kind, personable, and seemed to really want to right the ship for technology at Pulley. This person's energy came off as very different than what I've seen from the CEO's videos and interviews. So far so good, but then afterwards, radio silence. I couldn't get a hold of anyone. Almost 1-2 months after my last contact, a different recruiter reached out to me to let me know the original recruiter was let go and that he will be my point of contact. Ok, things happen. This 2nd recruiter gets on a call with me, and shares an interview process page with me which I felt was good and transparent. From there, I did a technical exercise that was not too difficult. Once again, complete radio silence from the engineering team and recruiting. At this point, I'm starting to get frustrated with all the ghosting and "on the fence" hiring attitude this place has. I couldn't get a hold of the second recruiter so I send him a message on LinkedIn. He informs me that now he too is no longer with Pulley and gives me the names of some other recruiting contact. I look at this 3rd recruiter's profile, and it looks like it's just more employee churn and contractors. I have no idea what is going on, but they seem to be churning through many employees in less than a year according to what I see online. If you want a smooth interview process, don't interview here. It was a bad experience churning through 2-3 recruiters, getting no feedback, and seeing my other interviews turn into offers. Even though the engineering leader was really cool, he might just be a needle in a haystack.
