Was approached on LinkedIn about the role and was asked to have a conversation with two of the team about it. The initial conversation was great; the role sounded ideal, and the team were lovely. Was invited to complete a design task as part of the process, which was to follow a brief in designing social ads for any brand of your choice. I spent the best part of a weekend on the task, designing ready-to-post ads for a well-known competitor, complemented by an in-depth pitch deck. I was then invited for a third and final stage interview in person. Again, it seemed like it went well and went as well as I could have done myself. When leaving, I asked when I'd hear back and was told within two weeks. The next day, when I emailed to thank them for their time, they responded within minutes to tell me they won't be progressing my application further. It's disappointing as I loved the brand but completely understand. I thanked them again and asked for feedback, and then there was complete radio silence. It's typical in rejections you never hear feedback, but given all of the time and work I'd invested in the process, to research the company, understand their industry and their competitors, complete a design pitch and go through multiple interviews and back and forth. Bare minimum, please.
