      Sales Associate (Trainee) Interview

      Sep 28, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Ashton-under-Lyne, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Purple (Ashton-under-Lyne, England) in Sep 2015

      Interview

A two stage process, involving an interview with HR and then an interview with the Sales Director and the Sales Operations and Customer Support Manager. Very relaxed with a focus on finding out about you and how you will fit the company. Not many competency-based questions, but much more of a two-way exchange where you get to find out as much as you like about the role and the company. They are impressed if you do some digging and find out some interesting facts about the company that are not so easy to find. Show an interest in them and they will return the favour. A really enjoyable two interviews, mainly focusing on my CV and how I will succeed in a sales role, but no sales pitch or simulated activities.
