One of the best interviewing processes I've done as it actually assesses skills you require for the job. Only negative aspect was that I was told that the client facing part is something they train on the job but the feedback was that despite passing the scientific side of the interview, I was not confident enough in the client side of things. This contradicted what they told me & they didn't leave any room for the potential of being nervous about the interview.

Question 1
If you had a tricky client email you, how would you respond?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Random42 (London, England) in Aug 2023
Interview
I had a first round interview online with a senior account manager and senior account executive. It was very casual and friendly. They asked some competency questions but were also keen to get to know me as a person. This lasted about 30 mins I completed some untimed tasks like replying to a client's email, data handling, spelling and grammar checking and basic calculations. These were not very challenging. I had a final round interview in person at their offices in Marylebone with the CEO and Global Accounts Director. This was very much a getting-to-know me chat and very casual conversation. They asked some questions about experience and my interest in the role, but it was mainly to see if I would be a good fit for the company. Personality was the most important thing. Overall a very painless application process.

Question 1
What experience do you have working with clients? What experience do you have of presenting and public speaking? What made you apply to this role? What music do you like listening to? What do you do in your free time?

Interview
Nice friendly process with engaged interviewers. Questions were not too probing, but it felt like they were trying to get to know me, rather than providing a grilling. Overall it was very relaxed and not intimidating.

It was more about who I was as a person, rather than going through my CV.
