      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Raptive (New York, NY) in Feb 2026

      Interview

Two months. Four interview rounds. Three follow-ups. Zero replies. I completed Raptive's full hiring process — take-home assessment, a data science round, a VP interview, and a technical round. The conversations were genuinely good. The technical round went well; I reviewed my answers afterward and got everything right. The recruiter was enthusiastic throughout, telling me I was a top candidate and that they were moving quickly. Spoiler: they were not moving quickly. After the technical round, I heard nothing. I followed up three times over two months. Still nothing. No rejection, no update, just silence. If you're interviewing here: do your best, the process is interesting and the questions are thoughtful. But please, keep applying elsewhere and do not hold your breath waiting on the recruiter. The friendliness during the process does not carry over once they've made their decision — or even once they haven't. Ghosting candidates after a two-month process is a real waste of people's time and a poor reflection of how the company treats people it doesn't hire.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Raptive (New York, NY) in Feb 2026

      Interview

I went through Raptive's full interview process over the course of two months, and while parts of it were genuinely positive, the ending left a lot to be desired. The process itself was thorough: a take-home assessment, a data science interview focused on resume and experience, a VP round with back-to-back questions diving deep into past work, and finally a technical round. The technical questions were engaging, and I walked the team through my thinking in detail — I later verified every answer was correct. Throughout the process, the recruiter was warm and encouraging, repeatedly telling me I was among the top candidates and that they wanted to move fast. That made the ending all the more frustrating. After the technical round, I followed up three times over two months. No reply. Complete silence. No rejection email, no update — just ghosted. My honest advice to anyone interviewing here: give it your best in every round, because the team and the process itself seem solid. But don't let the recruiter's enthusiasm get your hopes up, and absolutely do not put your job search on hold waiting to hear back. Two months of my time went into this process, and I deserved at minimum a courtesy response. The team may be great for whoever landed the role — but candidates deserve basic professional respect, regardless of the outcome.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Raptive (New York, NY) in Feb 2020

      Interview

I was offered the opportunity to interview remotely, but I prefer meeting people in person and why should I miss the chance to visit NYC in February? Well, I'm glad I went. They handled all of the details of the travel smoothly, and Charlie was an incredible help to me getting ready for the trip and interviews. The interviews were tough, showing me that 1) they know what they're doing, and 2) they care about finding the right people to join. That helped me just be myself, instead of trying to sell myself in some awkward way.

      Question 1

I was asked a series of challenging questions about my knowledge of digital advertising, machine learning, big data and queries, and such.
