      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Recharge Payments (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

initial phone screen was cool....they really did a great job of getting you excited about the opportunity and the prospects - and i work in the subscription space as well so it seemed like a perfect fit. However when i got on the following 2 rounds it took a totally different turn. I couldn't describe the people i talked to as anything less than arrogant. (because i work in the industry) they actually had the audacity to ask me to share my screen and walk them through the platform and products ive built. It seemed more of a market research tactic than anything.....very mich treated me like a competitor rather than just a person who loved the industry and had great respect for their company. Director of Product Justin was a complete jerk. condescending....passive aggressive...air of superiority.....not my kind of guy....would of never worked

      Question 1

can you share your screen and show me some things youve worked on? :*D

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Recharge Payments

      Interview

The recruiters initially were kind and provided timely responses. The first 2 interviews were mostly to learn about your background, and to ask some targeted questions related to the role. Nothing out of the ordinary. I was 3 interviews into the process and seemed to pass the markers they considered important for the position based on how well I felt the interviews went. I was then rejected. I sent 3 follow-up emails asking for feedback, as I thought the interview process went well. I received no response to any of my feedback emails, even though the recruiter offered to "answer any questions" in the rejection email. Companies should be more accountable to their recruits, who invest their personal time and energy in the company. I was disappointed by the lack of response.

      Question 1

If you meet the hiring manager for this role, she will ask a super broad product question in which the answer is essentially what the job is... so don't look into that too far.

      Interview

Interview on video conferencing, spoke with the hiring manager for 1 hour. I was asked to submit work samples at the end of the call. I emailed the hiring manager my samples and never heard back. Companies complain about candidates ghosting them, but it’s a shame that they continue to do things like this to interviewers.
