Had a screening interview with HR, then with an assistant to the hiring manager, then a full in-person interview with 2 people. When I arrived at the interview, the hiring manager introduced himsels, but did not look up from his computer for about 20 minutes and seemed uninterested. It went slightly better after that, but it was still very weird and unprofessional. However the team seemed impressed with my qualifications. I relayed my salary expectations multiple times, which was a reasonable expectation for requiring an engineering degree. AFTER the interview, the HR person called me asking my salary expectation again, and acted shocked by the same numbers I had mentioned previously. This HR person did not return my follow up request afterwards. I realize they are going through a transition, but this was unprofessional and a waste of my time.
