Interview
In person interview with Head of Fabrication and Shop Foreman, looking for in depth industry knowledge of materials, finishes, and fabrication techniques. Looking for professionals who need little to no micromanaging of technique in a fast paced environment. Definitely recommend getting familiar with their past projects, especially if you have time to visit at least one of their exhibits around town (find this on their website), such as Chicago Children's Museum or Rockford Discovery Center Museum.

Given full plan for a small, one page project. Asked to estimate and specify labor and materials, including an hourly breakdown of Planning, Cutting, Assembling, Sanding, Painting and secure transportation.
