I applied online and received an e-mail to schedule a phone interview about a week later. I spoke to the VP of People for a 30-minute phone interview and he told me they wanted to move very quickly with me and get me in front of a number of other people from various departments, including the founder of the company.
Over a week later, I received an e-mail to schedule another 30-minute phone interview with the Director of People. After that interview, he told me I would hear from them early the following week. Based on my conversations and qualifications I felt confident about the prospect of progressing in the process and/or getting an offer, but on Wednesday afternoon of the next week I received an automatic e-mail from a no-reply inbox saying I wasn't a good fit.
It seems like a company with a cool mission and good people but the expectations they set on the calls did not match the actual interview process or outcome, and the automatic e-mail came across as insincere and has greatly deterred me from considering them in the future.
