I applied online and received a phone call a week later to schedule an interview (virtual) with Human Resources. The interview consisted of the company’s background, goals of the position, and how one’s experience would fit into the role. It was nice to learn about the company, their current transition, and the HR team. After the interview, I was told I would hear back from them should they want to move forward with a teams interview, and to follow-up with them if I had any other questions. Although the interview appeared to be welcoming, there was “iffy” energy I received from the interviewer; that I believe to be my instinct with this organization telling me this is not the right company for you. During the interview, there was a lot of emphasis on “I” as if the focal point were on the interviewer and when mentioning the company’s merger, it was though it was going to take a miracle worker to complete such a task. All in all, I did receive a standard rejection and once I did , I knew this company was indeed not in alignment with my long-term goals or having a “Great Company Culture” .
