I applied online. I interviewed at Ripjar (London, England)
Interview
- 3/4 interviews (including phone interview with the hiring manager) with highly engaged and very nice employees, one of which included a technical task where a screen was shared and I did live analysis in a notebook
- lots of questions and lots of room for questions from the candidate
- final interview with senior technologists at the company
- process felt thorough and exhaustive while fair and respectful of my time
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Working with clients and managing difficult ones, including explaining complicated technical concepts while managing problems on projects
Initial call, live coding challenge via web conference (the task was well crafted, allowing me to demonstrate skills and also focussing on the problem fairly irrespective of past experience), following by follow up interview with team members.

Question 1
Past experiences in a similar role, and soft skills beyond the role.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ripjar
Interview
The interview consisted of 3 stages - a short telephone interview, a technical interview with a small coding task and a final interview. The interview process as a whole was open, relaxed and mostly conversational. It did not feel at all like like a typical box ticking / hoop jumping interview, and in the most part was actually quite enjoyable.
