      Technical Writer/User Support Interview

      Jul 19, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RiskBand (Denver, CO) in May 2017

      Interview

When this company entered the market, they asked me to create a presentation on which software I'd use to create online help, and to illustrate that I could learn such a program in a two-week period. My interview would consist of that presentation plus a second interview with a person who didn't work for the company, but would serve as a judge of how well I might fit into that company's culture. I spent two weeks, full-time, learning the software in question, and creating the presentation. While the company employees seemed to like my presentation, they declined to hire me basically because I expressed the view that creating online help and manuals from scratch for a new product might take three months rather than three to four weeks
