Arbitrary interview, very vague, didn’t say a lot about the job. Interview lasted only about twenty five minutes. It was just door to door sales. Not a marketing coordinator position
- They asked if I was comfortable with door to door sales

3 interviews. 1 at the office, 1 onsite and last was set to be at the office but they called and decided to do a phone interview the day before.
- Are you self motivated?

Brief phone conversation. I was asked to come in for an in person interview. I felt like a sales person was selling me the job the whole time. That ended up being a sales position not an event coordinator position at all.
- What previous experience helps me with client services.

I recently applied for a "marketing assistant" position with Riverpoint Management. I put marketing assistant in quotes because the job positing was incredibly misleading (as the position is primarily SALES)! During the first interview, I met with the president of the company who attempted to get me excited about a position full of opportunity. The interview was extremely brief and answered very questions. I'm sure this was intentional. A few hours later I received a call informing me that I was selected for a second interview. I had done some research on the company but decided to give them a chance anyway. I really wish I hadn't wasted my time. I drove nearly 45-minutes to a big-box store. There, I learned that I would be promoting (aka: SELLING) products to shoppers because "every one begins in entry level". So much for that "marketing assistant" position I had applied for. Picture the booths you see set up in the aisles of the mall. It's similar to that... I was then told that in less than a year I could be managing a portion of the company's clients and making upwards of $75,000 a year. But, here's the kicker, I would be making just over minimum wage until that "promotion". Be warned and don't be deceived!
- How effective is direct marketing?

Phone interview promises you the world, asks what your goals are and gives a vague overview with a lot of false promises. They told me they are a marketing, PR and advertising company which, while this may be true to some extent, what they don't tell you is that they do direct marketing so your third interview is at Sam's Club where you learn how they sell things to customers. Luckily, I found this out before my interview and called to let them know I was no longer interested. If you are looking for a job where you can be an entrepreneur and work on your people skills, this is the job for you. If you're looking to further your career in anything else, this is not the job for you. Thank you, glassdoor, for saving me an hour and a half drive each way to an interview that would likely have been a disaster.

3 interviews. 1. On site interview where you meet the manager and are asked basic behavioral questions. 2. Interview with a Sales Rep at the sales site where the Rep asks you more basic behavioral questions and shows you what your job will entail. 3. Final phone interview with manager.
- Tell me about a time that something went wrong and what did you do to fix it.

It was definitely a lot of information to take in so I was overwhelmed at first but by the end had a pretty good idea about the company and all their growth opportunities. The first interview is just brief to go over resume and answer a few questions. The one I really enjoyed was the second round interview because I got to see one of their events and shadow someone. It was cool to see all of the marketing techniques and consumer psychology they use that you don't realize going through college and all the classes. I was also really interested in the growth they offer especially coming right out of college. Definitely was a positive experience and everyone was helpful throughout the process.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Riverpoint Management (Pittsburgh, PA) in Apr 2017
The interview was very brief, as they told me they had many clients to interview for the position. Within 10 minutes of leaving the office they had called me and told me I was selected to move on to the 2nd round of interviews at a "alternate location" which turned out to be a sams club. The job listing made it seem as if you would actually be working in a marketing firm. Similar to vector marketing, just a scam to get college kids. The interview was good interview experience though, the questions threw me off guard and gave me an idea what a professional interview would be like.

The first round interview included me and 4 other applicants sitting in a room and being pulled from the room to be interviewed every 10 minutes. The interview wasn't so much an interview as more of the recruiter talking about the company. The second round interview involved me following around an employee at Sam's Club while they tried to sell cleaning products to customers walking by. They said the pay was $8.00 an hour, you work weekends, and evenings.
