The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SBB Research Group
Interview
1 - Online assessment - easy medium questions from leetcode
2- technical round - easy round. asked some OOPs concepts, basic programming questions
3- in-person interview - tough, there are 6 people asked different questions.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at SBB Research Group (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2022
Interview
It started with a phone screen with general interview questions. This was followed by a coding assessment with easy technical questions (leetcode easy). After this was an interview with developers with both technical and behavioral questions. After this was another coding assessment with an open ended coding project. Finally there was an in person interview where you meet a large amount of the development team, and review your previous open ended coding project.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SBB Research Group in Feb 2022
Interview
The process I went through had 4 steps.
1. An easy, one question HackerRank test.
2. I met with a member of the team and did a pop quiz on basic technical concepts (OOP, functions, databases) and Linux commands.
3. I did another HackerRank test that was somewhat harder than the first with an open-ended design question.
4. I met with the team for a final round interview where I discussed my implementation of part 3 and asked questions about the job.
I was rejected without feedback a few days after the final interview. I thought my answers may have been unsatisfactory, but a week later I saw them repost the exact same job listing with new specifications. It turns out my salary expectations were too high and they weren't willing to have me relocate out-of-state. Considering that the recruiter asked me my salary expectations at the very beginning, this situation was easily avoidable and a complete waste of both of our time. The team was nice, but I can't recommend joining this company considering the lack of respect for the candidate's time.
