I interviewed at SLB in Apr 2013

      Interview

Got a phone interview with the hiring manager after applying through company website. It did not take 2 mins to be desapointed with the nature of the questions that the manager asked. The position is for a phd level internship but I was bombarded with lots of mechanics questions mainly taught at sophomore-junior levels at college. While I knew much of them the manager seems to be needing exact definitions (and who wants to memorize al those unless you're told?). Also expect lots of questions (say 25+) from different subjects areas such as solid mechanics, fatigue and fracture, plasticity, viscoelsticity etc...
