The interview process is very long. For Seoul, specifically, I explained my desire to work in Seoul and EPIK then interviewed me for that city. It was the Seoul coordinator at the time who interviewed me. I had to do a demo lesson and answer questions about my teaching experience and philosophy.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SMOE
Interview
Super basic interview about teaching, living overseas, and how one would adapt to a different place. After interviewing with recruiter, I was quickly accepted and sent all the documentation for a a work visa etc via post. I've heard that they have become more selective since I interviewed, but I would not expect their hiring process to be particularly stressful.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SMOE
Interview
Scheduled a phone interview, which lasted about 20 minutes. About a week later, I got an email from my recruiter saying that I had passed, although I wouldn't know my exact placement until later. I think I benefited from getting all of my documents in right away and being interviewed early on. My interviewer was very friendly and seemed receptive when I mentioned that I had studied Korean a little bit. Some other teachers I met in Korea seemed to have a more difficult interview.
