There was the usual recruiter call at the start and at the end to discuss the contract. There was one real interview with the engineering manager. There was no coding, live or assignment.
Interview questions [1]

I applied online. I interviewed at STV Group (Glasgow, Scotland)
Interview
Actual interview process was great. Both individuals interviewing me were lovely. Typical competency based questions and questions relating to my CV. However prior to my interview I was given a very last minute call inviting me to an interview which was the following morning (despite applying for the role months prior) this didn’t give me much time to prepare but I still was able to prepare to the best of my ability. I did notice however that on LinkedIn (where I’d applied for the role months previous) that the job had recently been re-posted, which tbh with the last minute interview invite and the fact I hadn’t applied when the role was re-posted made me feel like a bit of a gap filler to get interview numbers up. It then took weeks to get a response regarding the outcome of my interview to eventually receive a rather blunt email stating they hadn’t yet came to a decision due to internal issues within the company and would be in contact soon. I then had to wait a further two weeks (month in total to find out how my interview had gone, by this time I wasn’t fussed about the role anymore) to receive another blunt email stating they wouldn’t be continuing with my application - this felt very unprofessional and was a bit of a red flag.
Made to wait for over 30 minutes without any interaction or apology before the interview. Asked to prepare a presentation the night before at 8pm. The interviewer just seemed to want to speak negatively about my colleagues at an existing firm. No further communication after the interview.
